Cindy Denchfield
Programs
Cindy Denchfield grew up in the Pacific Northwest before moving to the Washington, DC area, where she built her career and raised her family over the course of more than 40 years. Throughout that time, she always knew she would one day return to her beloved Pacific Northwest.
Following her retirement, Cindy and her husband settled in Bellingham, where she quickly immersed herself in one of her lifelong passions—gardening. Professionally, Cindy spent her career in the technology sector, specializing in project organization and management.
Volunteer service has been a constant thread throughout Cindy’s life. She has participated in and led events for a variety of organizations, including her children's school PTA, political voter-engagement efforts, and garden tours at Brookside Gardens in Maryland. Since moving to Bellingham, she has become a dedicated volunteer with Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship.
Cindy is passionate about cultivating connections and building strong, engaged communities wherever she lives. She looks forward to working with the board, gardeners, and fellow volunteers to help strengthen the Chuckanut Center and support its mission.
