We are excited to fill the Chuckanut Center with workshops and gatherings that fit our mission, “We Grow Food, Skills and a Resilient Community.”

– Public Safety
– Clubs/Groups/Community Meet-ups around specific interests
Public Invited: All programs must be open to the public. Mission-aligned organizations hosting member or board retreats or meetings may also be permitted to use the space.
Structure: Program can be one-time or a series. You will need to host registration, if appropriate, through your own registration platform or by accepting email and/or calls. Program participants will need to sign a liability release waiver at the start of your event.
Spaces:
Accessible Chuckanut Center House:
The fully-equipped kitchen holds 12 participants.
The living room seats 25 comfortably in chairs and 20 at tables.
A large white board and a 55” monitor is available for presentations/video streaming/remote meeting.
Note: No internet available at the center, though cell phone hot spots have been used successfully.
Field/orchard holds 100. The covered outdoor gazebo, with electricity, holds 7.
Side yard/field, with 4 picnic tables, holds 50.
Garden: Ask what space, and possibly produce, is available. With sufficient notice, garden beds may be designated for demonstrations or teaching activities (e.g. dye plant, medicinal plants, etc.)
Available 7 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week.
There are tables and chairs for inside use, and a few chairs for outside use.
Parking is limited. If full, you will need to encourage your participants to park at Fairhaven Park and walk over.
Fee: We request a donation of $25/hour, or a portion of the proceeds, for the use of the Chuckanut Center House. The outside area is a public park so free to use (although we appreciate knowing when your program is and a donation for its use).

Email Us: At chuckanutcenter@gmail.com with your contact info, program details (title and description), skill experience/knowledge, how the program aligns with our mission, preferred day/time (including set-up and clean-up), where you would like to hold the program (house, outside). Indicate if you would like a tour prior to your booking.
Program Promotion: We will promote your program in our monthly e-newsletter, website event calendar, FB, IG. We encourage you to promote it utilizing other community calendars and print media, and by encouraging your circle of folks to attend.
Orientation: Prior to your workshop or gathering, plan to do an orientation of the logistics of entering and closing the building. Use of the space is self-service. Please leave it ready for the next program.
