Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

This fruit tree pruning workshop will be in the Chuckanut Center house and orchard.

Fruit tree pruning is essential for reducing and controlling fruit tree disease as well as pest pressure; sculpting strong branch structure; and, increasing flower and fruit yields. This workshop will cover:

  • pruning theory

  • essential pruning tools

  • basic tool sharpening

  • pruning demonstrations

We will cap our learning session with hands-on participant pruning practice in the Chuckanut Center Orchard. Whether you are newly curious or have years of pruning experience under your belt, we’d love to share our enthusiasm for fruitful trees.

Instructors:
Jane Campbell is a local small tree arborist, orchardist and educator specializing in fruit tree training, maintenance and restoration pruning. Jane is passionate about sharing the joy of tree care with others and ensuring trees live up to their potential to feed the masses. To learn more, check out queenmountain.com.
